First Chapter, First Paragraph Tuesdays Intros & Teaser Tuesday

Introducing 'A Vision of Angels' by Timothy Jay Smith:
The boy shakes his best friend's hand and wills his eyes to express love. He's seen how it's done on the soaps his mother watches, the squinting and forced tears, though there's nothing forced for him. He may never see his friend again.

What do you think so far?
Would you read more?

Well, here's a little taste more from where I've got to:

Efrahim dragged his lagging feet up another step and attacked the next with his crutches. "I am late. my lovely Katya, because sometimes only the afternoon light can solve a problem a perspective. Alas, today was only darkness.

I'm not sure this one is for me, but hope you enjoy it!
The opening is interesting and I'm curious. I would read more.
I might have to read a bit more to commit, but it sounds promising. Thanks for the intro.

This book is new to me. I don't think that I would read more. It sounds too introspective for what I'm craving now. My teasers this week are from Iron Hearted Violet by Kelly Barnhill and Pray for Silence by Linda Castillo. Happy reading!
The opening intrigues me. It's interesting that the boy learned how to act from his mother's soap operas! Sounds like an unusual kid.
My Tuesday post features BETTER THAN YOUR DREAMS.
I like the language... very evocative! Here's my teaser: http://www.owlcatmountain.com/2014/08/05/tuesday-...
That's an interesting tease.

How about a Christmas cozy mystery to help to cool you down during the summer? Here's my latest teaser: http://pdworkman.com/excerpt-from-christmas-carol...
I'm intrigued by both the intro and the teaser. Especially since the second involves crutches... I'm curious what happened to this man. Thanks for sharing!

I'm intrigued, for sure.
I think I'd have to read more before deciding. Hope you love it though.
In one tiny moment, I giggled. Then, I wanted to cry. I would definitely keep reading this one.
