Musing Mondays #9

Hosted by Should Be Reading

This week’s musing asks…
Do you listen to audiobooks? Why, or why not?

This is something that I've been thinking about a lot lately. I've never really been a fan of audio books, because I think the voice used to read can affect my view of a book (too much in my opinion). However, recently I've begun to consider using them when I'm travelling. My only problem with that is that I could easily been stranded half way through a story, and I hate to 'read' two books at once. Maybe a physical book and an audio used similtaneously?

Simultaneous might be a great way to get into them. :)

Here's my Musing Mondays post. :)
If I had a longer commute or traveled a lot, I might enjoy them more. But trying to use them in my everyday live, my mind tends to wander.
I don't like audiobooks, I get distracted too easily!

audiobooks are good for travelling so if you're driving you have something to keep your mind awake and/or if you're on plane/train you can sit back, relax and hear a good tale.

I actually agreed with you in my own post. :) Though I haven't listened to an audiobook myself, I don't think I'd like listening to the narrator. I like being able to come up with the characters' voices.
I used to have audiobooks in the car all the time, particularly when I had long journeys ahead but now I'm much more into podcasts. I also think they are too expensive when compared to physical or e-books.

I've only recently started getting into audiobooks. I listen to them while I'm at the gym. The problem I have is that sometimes I don't like the voice of the narrator it puts me off. Also, if your mind wanders its hard to go back over, whereas with a print book you can just re-read. Found you on the Beck Valley Books blog hop. I have a book blog over at http:elizabethbaxter.blogspot.com
